The Network is the Computer
The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2018 highlights a sharp rise in demand for technology-driven professions—including Data Analysts and Scientists, Software and Application Developers, and E-commerce and Social Media Specialists.
With the rapid global shift toward digitization—and Ghana’s own accelerating digital agenda—the need for skilled talent to power the digital economy is becoming increasingly urgent. This transformation presents a tremendous opportunity: to strengthen our competitiveness in West Africa, stimulate economic growth, and empower young people to secure dignified jobs or create thriving enterprises of their own.
But this opportunity is shadowed by a significant challenge: a widening digital skills gap. The only way to unlock the full potential of this moment is to equip young people with the cutting-edge technological skills required to drive innovation and shape the future.
